“Always limited to best-barrel selections from several sites to produce 250 dozen bottles. A precise rendition of the interaction between place and variety, the balance between fruit, oak and tannins is so perfect that it is hard to see where one finishes and the next starts. There’s not an ounce of fat anywhere on the palate, just power and drive.” – James Halliday

Has everything you could ask for in a young Hunter Valley semillon: bright straw-green hue, a lemongrass and citrus bouquet, then a long, intense palate built on the foundation of natural acidity. The whole life of the wine lies before it, as the citrus becomes honeyed, and finally some toasty nuances will appear.
