We’re incredibly proud of the talented individuals who craft the wines you love here at De Iuliis Wines, and today, we’re shining a light on our dynamic Winemaker, Emily Glover. Emily brings a stellar track record to our team, with impressive tenures at renowned wineries like Brokenwood Wines and Agnew Wines before joining us.
Emily’s commitment to excellence and continuous learning has truly taken her global. She’s honed her craft through impactful vintages in world-leading regions like Burgundy and Napa Valley, enriching her winemaking perspective immensely. This vast experience, combined with her innate talent, has also made her a highly sought-after associate judge at major wine shows across Australia, including the Royal Queensland, Royal Melbourne, Royal Sydney, NSW Wine, Hunter Valley, Cowra, and Single Vineyard Wine Shows. Her discerning palate helps shape the industry’s standards.
At De Iuliis Wines, Emily’s winemaking philosophy perfectly aligns with our own: it’s defined by a progressive yet respectful nature. She masterfully achieves a harmony of tradition and groundbreaking innovation, honouring the rich heritage of Hunter Valley winemaking while daring to explore new possibilities.
Beyond the cellar, Emily is a staunch champion of sustainable practices. She’s deeply dedicated to preserving our precious land and supporting local communities, ensuring a healthy future for both our environment and our industry.
Emily’s entrepreneurial spirit also shines through her successful independent venture, Glover Wines, which she launched in 2022. Starting with an exquisite Hunter Valley Semillon, her label has since expanded to include a delightful rosé. Her exceptional contributions to the wine industry were widely celebrated last year when she was proudly awarded the prestigious 2024 Hunter Valley Young Achiever of the Year.
We’re so fortunate to have Emily’s talent, vision, and dedication as a core part of the De Iuliis Wines family. Her passion not only elevates our wines but also inspires the entire Hunter Valley wine community.
