The Vintage
Despite a compressed four-week harvest due to hot, dry weather, the 2025 vintage delivered outstanding quality.
A dry growing season allowed the vines to thrive, a perfect outcome for our family’s small-batch winemaking.
The Story
Winemaker Mike connects with his roots through Sangiovese, one of Italy’s most prized grapes.
Planted in Australia since the 1970s, Sangiovese offers a unique bridge between Mike’s heritage and his Australian winemaking experience. Like the Italians love to do, this food-friendly wine is perfect for sharing and savouring with loved ones.
The Wine
This wine explodes on the palate with vibrant red cherry and juicy strawberry characters.
Earthy notes and a fine-grained tannin structure lend complexity, while a bright vein of acidity keeps everything fresh and balanced.
The finish is smooth and delectable, making it a fantastic food companion.
The Potential
The fine tannin structure and natural acidity give the wine the potential to age for 5-10 years. However, after one sip, we believe this wine will last at most three months in your wine collection.
The Match
Our 2025 Special Release Sangiovese is a truly versatile wine, crafted to be the quintessential partner for a wide array of dishes.
Its vibrant acidity and savoury notes make it an ideal match for classic Italian fare, from rich tomato-based pasta sauces to earthy mushroom
