The Story
It’s no secret that we love making (and drinking!) rosé. This special release alowed our winemaker Mike to get creative and create a more savoury and textural style of rosé. A cool fermentation preserves the delicate aromatics. The result? A fresh, vibrant and dry style of rosé.
The Wine
The freshly pressed juices fermented on their skins for 2 hours, resulting in a pale salmon pink colour. The aromatics of zesty grapefruit, are rounded out with lush cherry and strawberry sorbet. The palate has vibrant pomegranate and strawberry with a savoury creaminess.
The Vintage
Good rain throughout the growing season saw the vines flourish through a warm & dry extended harvest.
A slow start to vintage for 2023 compared allowed for grapes in pristine condition, with good sugar levels and great concentration of flavour.
The Potential
Perfect for enjoying early, there’s no need to lay this down in your cellar.
Always best served chilled with family and friends!
The Match
Rosé is such a versatile wine, it can simply be paired with sunshine and great friends, or make a meal of it with seared salmon with a parmesan crust.
Either way this rosé is the perfect addition for the kind of long lunch that seem to merge into dinner.
