Tasting Notes
Region
Tumbarumba and Hunter Valley, NSW
The Story
Tumbarumba is a cool climate wine region located in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. It is fast becoming a premium producer of Pinot Noir, so what better way to experiment with a light & fun varietal while keeping our Hunter Valley roots.
The Wine
This light bodied wine oozes with plush and vibrant red fruit. The delicate aromas of cherry, raspberry, and a hint of spice enhance this wine to a full sensory experience. Serve chilled in the warmer months to level up your summer barbecues.
The Vintage
Excellent growing conditions in 2022 led to healthy vines and good yields. The dry heat kicked in leading up to harvest, with cool nights to make the perfect ripening conditions.
The Potential
This wine is exceptional drinking in its youth, but it will with time the bright fruit will change into savoury notes like stewed strawberries, and forest floor over the next 10 years.
The Match
Shiraz Pinot Noir is a versatile wine that is a delicate match for a wide variety of foods. From duck pancakes on date night to a beef bourguignon expertly prepared with love by your mum.
