SoundBites Food & Wine Festival 2026
We’ve always said that wine tastes better with a side of great music and even better company. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that De Iuliis will be part of the inaugural SoundBites Food & Wine Festival this March!
As the official opening event of Newcastle Food Month 2026, SoundBites is shaping up to be the biggest party the Newcastle Racecourse has seen in years. It’s a massive celebration of everything we love about our region: bold flavours, artisan talent, and that unmistakable Hunter spirit.
What’s on the Menu?
We’ll be popping corks and pouring our favourites alongside a stellar lineup of over 40 vendors. Here is a taste of what to expect:
Culinary Legends: The “Crazy Bull” himself, Miguel Maestre, is hosting live cooking demos. He’ll be joined by six of our favourite local chefs showing off their signature dishes.
The Soundtrack: Get ready to dance. The Hindley Street Country Club is headlining, supported by roaming performers throughout the day.
The Experience: It’s not just about eating and drinking (though we’re very good at that). There’s grape stomping, eating competitions, and even a personalised Hat Bar to keep you looking sharp.
Why We’ll See You There
Newcastle has always been our “big city” backyard, and seeing the community come together for Newcastle Food Month is a highlight of our year. SoundBites is blending food, wine, and music into one immersive day, and we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the festivities.
