The Story
This luscious style of dessert wine has always been a family favourite. It signifies the end to a family feast where good laughs and good times have been shared around the table.
The Wine
A late-picked dessert-style wine with strong lemon and lime characters as well as tropical fruit. The palate has rich apricot and peach, with a broad silky mouthfeel and a soft acid finish.
Palate
Delicate flavours of marmalade combine with dried apricots and honey to produce a clean fresh flavour. The palate is light, and clean with a fresh citrus aftertaste.
The Vintage
Excellent growing conditions in 2023 led to good yield and luscious fruit characteristics in this wine.
The Potential
Late Picked Semillon never lasts long in the De Iuliis household, especially after a long Sunday lunch with our family.
The Match
Late Picked Semillon goes exceptionally well as a digestif or served alongside desserts. Lemon meringue pie is a delicious match!
