The Story
In 2022 we selected the best barrels from our Steven and LDR Vineyards and blended them to produce this wine. It is the style of Chardonnay that we love to drink.Fine, elegant, complex and well balanced wine, nothing like the guys who made it!
The Wine
Subtle aromas of vanillin oak and melon, with a hint of green pear. The wine is balanced with the creamy vanillan texture from maturation in French Oak. Medium length on the finish makes this a balanced modern Australian Chardonnay.
The Vintage
Excellent growing conditions in 2022 led to healthy vines and good yields. Minimal intervention in the winery allows the fruit to shine.
The Potential
This wine is drinking very well as a young wine but will continue to improve with 8-15 years further cellaring. Add a six pack to add to your cellar and open one each year to see the development.
The Match
Our 2022 Limited Release Chardonnay is the perfect match for grilled Spatchcock with celery leaf salad and a lemon butter sauce. Delicious!
