This wine showcases the enduring family history of the Lovedale Road vineyard. Expect depth of flavour, a testament to the philosophy of quality over quantity that has guided Lovedale Road vineyard, and indeed the De Iuliis story, for over two decades.

In 2000, our Lovedale Road (LDR) vineyard began its life, with Merlot being one of the pioneering varieties planted on the former cattle grazing land that Joss and Anna De Iuliis had so thoughtfully regenerated. This Merlot, a particular favourite of Joss, is crafted by Mike – a son’s way of bringing his dad joy.

Mike was still in school when, in 1991, his father Joss and grandfather Charlie planted these Shiraz vines on their Lovedale Road (LDR) property. Planted on clay loam over friable red clay, this soil yields exceptionally well-built Shiraz. The 3 ha of Shiraz, sourced from heritage shiraz cuttings.
