Hunter Valley (LDR Vineyard)
Medium red, with a vibrant purple hue.
Lifted cherry spice and potpourri, earthy, spicy with a hint of boysenberry, plum and blackcurrants.
Soft mouthfeel of fine-grained tannins, ripe plums and blackberries.
Drinking well now, but will continue to improve with 5 plus years further cellaring.
Planted on the heavy clay soils 13 .5 acres of Shiraz and 1 .5 acres of Touriga Nacional) of our family Lovedale Road vineyard in 2008. This unique blend of 80% Shiraz gives this wine floral fruit characters with savoury Hunter regional structure and 20% Touriga Nacional which odds structure lo the aroma. Fantastic early drinking wine, but 5+ years in the cellar and this will start to sing.
