Hunter Valley (Lucy’s Run Vineyard)
Deep crimson with purple hues.
Lifted perfume aroma with hints of spice.
Spice flavours of pepper with firm tannins to provide a full-bodied style with great length on the palate. A well-balanced wine, consistent with the classic Hunter Valley style of Shiraz.
Careful cellaring will see this wine develop beautifully over the next 5 – 15 years.
This relatively young vineyard is found on the aptly named Wine Country Drive. Over its short life, it has been producing Hunter Shiraz with the most amazing lifted perfume aroma. Coupled with great palate intensity and fantastic length of flavour it will be interesting to see how this wine develops with time in the bottle.
