Intense spice and pepper on the nose combine with rich berry aromas.
Rich fruit flavours of black cherries combine with firm tannins to provide a medium-bodied style with great length on the palate. A well-balanced wine, consistent with the classic Hunter Valley style of Shiraz.
Careful cellaring will see this wine develop beautifully over the next 5 – 15 years.
Situated on O’Conners Lane in the eastern end of Pokolbin, the Ablington vineyard has been planted on cloy loom soil facing the morning sun.
